A FILABUSI man allegedly went on a sexual rampage, forcing his neighbour’s two minor daughters to caress and kiss his privates before raping them and then sodomising their four year-old cousin, a Gwanda court heard this week.

Prosecutors claim that a drunken Cornelius Ndlovu, 27, of Bekezela Township in Filabusi, gave the children some money as an inducement before leading them to a disused house where he allegedly committed the heinous crime. After the abuse he reportedly took back money he had given the children.

Ndlovu however, denied raping the girls aged four and six years and sodomising their cousin when he appeared before a Gwanda magistrate on Monday.

“I was drunk but I knew what I was doing … so I deny the charges laid against me,” he told the magistrate Joseph Mabeza.

“He made me caress and kiss his manhood before raping me, my sister and our cousin,” reads a statement from one of the girls.

Prosecuting, Johannes Tlou said Ndlovu sexually abused the three juveniles on March 1 this year at around 1700 hours.
“The accused called the three complainants to accompany him where he was going and promised to give them money,” said Tlou.

“The three juveniles accompanied him as he led them to a nearby house which is still under construction.

“While inside the house he raped the four-year-old girl, while the two others watched before raping her elder sister. He then removed the boy’s trousers and had raped once.

Testifying in court, the little boy’s mother said Ndlovu had also made sexual advances on a visiting male relative as they shared a bed.

“A brother-in-law who had visited also reported that he could not sleep at night as Ndlovu made sexual advances on him and caressed him while in bed. His brother-in-law ended up beating him,” she said.

The abuse came to light when the boy, suffering from anal pain, related the abuse to his mother who reported the case to the police, leading to Ndlovu’s arrest.
The trial continues.
