MEMBERS of the Johane Masowe Sinai Church near NOCZIM garage in Bulawayo along Luveve road recently reportedly left a congregant for dead after she sang as song other members did not like.

Church members put aside the bible and its teachings, severely bashing Sinikiwe Ncube, 48, leaving her in a bloody heap at an all-night service organized to prepare congregants for the Easter Holiday, last week.

Men and women and children from the church reportedly acted like they were demon possessed as they descended on a hapless Ncube with fists, open palms and sticks last week.

They later fled from the open air church thinking they had killed Ncube when they realized she was not moving.

The church, famous for bizarre prophesies and claims that their leaders are all-seeing- failed to use their "infallible' spirit to tell that Ncube was still alive.

She recovered consciousness towards dawn and dragged herself to Mpilo Central Hospital for treatment.

She to Bulawayo24 News that she went to church on Thursday night singing her favourite hymn- Impi yasezuwini.

"I got to church still singing and someone harshly told me to stop. I thought it was a joke but the next thing, I was seeing stars as the whole congregation set upon me. The next thing I remembered was waking up to find other church members gone and I staggered to hospital," said Ncube.

"I do not know what possessed them to turn on me like a pack of wild dogs. I will never go back to that church because there is no God there. He would never allow a defenceless woman to be beaten like that."

The medical report shows Ncube sustained multiple lacerations all over the body, lost a considerable amount of blood and had five stitches were needed to sew up a big cut on her head.

Madzibaba Epiloji refused to speak to reporters saying they were not holy enough to stand in front of him.
