HARARE – Raunchy pole dancer Zoey Noleen Sifelani says fellow dancer Beverly ‘Bev’ Sibanda’s recent repentance is a hoax and she is possessed of a serious demon which needs exorcism.

Zoey had been sceptical about Bev’s commitment and dedication to church life ever since her repentance and salvation which saw her joining popular prophet, Walter Magaya’s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD).

Zoey’s words seem to have been interestingly prophetic as Bev has already threatened to quit the PHD church after an altercation with another girl from the same church.

It is reported that Bev was last Friday involved in a war of words with another girl from the ministry at Magaya’s residence in Marlborough. The girl accused Bev of getting too much attention from Magaya.

It is also reported that one of the security personnel injured Bev in the right eye while he tried to restrain them from fighting.

Zoey had earlier declared that Bev would not commit to a Christian life for long and would soon be back on stage despite Prophet Magaya opening a clothing business for her in Harare.

“I said it from the beginning. I have worked with Beverly and I know her very much. She has some demon which torments her and she cannot live a peaceful life with other people.

“It is better that she has decided to trace her roots to the stage as she would have sat on the church’s microphone mimicking the bottles she used to insert into her privates in night clubs,” said Zoey sarcastically.

Zoey said Bev had a serious attitude problem and that is what Magaya should have focused on.

“Bev is like a person who was brought up in a shebeen, she is a spoilt brat and she wants to be treated like a princess everywhere. Where on earth have you seen a normal person who fights in church?

“A church is a holy place where one must go wholeheartedly not as an attention seeking place, she must deal with her attitude first and learn to humble herself,” added Zoey.

Zoey, the self-proclaimed mother of pole dancing in the country, said she would personally go to church when she was fully committed to being an upright Christian who is not lured by money.

Meanwhile, Bev’s manager Harperz Mapimhidze has confirmed the pole dancer’s wish to go back to showbiz.

“There are a lot of challenges and jealousy from people at the church. They treat Bev differently from everyone else so she has since decided to stop going to church,” said Mapimhidze.

PHD ministries spokesperson Oscar Pambuka watered down Mapimhidze’s claims that congregants were treating Bev differently.

“We don’t have a problem with her, she is just like any other congregant in the church, but I feel as PHD, a church with more than 90 000 people we must not concentrate on Beverly alone.

“This issue has been given too much prominence which I think it does not deserve,” said Pambuka.

Bev quit dancing in clubs in January after her spiritual father; Prophet Magaya told her to stop dancing in pubs and promised to open a shop for her- a commitment which he has since fulfilled.
